The site is best viewed with Netscape
version 4.0 or higher or Internet
Explorer 4.0 or higher. These browser versions or their
subsequent versions are standard equipment on almost all modern
Windows- and Macintosh-based
computers.
To experience all of the site's features, you should have Macromedia's
Flash version 5.0.
The site can be viewed without it, but will then operate without
certain multimedia features. This plug-in can be downloaded free
from Macromedia's site at www.macromedia.com.
The PDF Files are best viewed using Adobe
Acrobat Reader 5.0. For Best screen quality, select the
"smooth line art" button from the preferences menu within
version 5 of Adobe Acrobat Reader. The site will detect whether
you have Adobe Acrobat or not and prompt you to download it if
you don't.
To watch a video using a Windows-based system we recommend Windows
Windows
Media player version 7.0. PCs have long shipped with the
Windows Media Player (WMP). When you select WMP, your system will
automatically open your player and will automatically update your
files if you have a previous version so that you can view the
video.
With a Macintosh computer you will want to watch video clips using
QuickTime. We recommend Apple's
Quicktime version 5.0. Again, Macintosh systems have been
shipping with QuickTime for almost forever, and your system will
prompt you to upgrade if you have an older version
All music files are MP3s. When you select an MP3 you system will
automatically launch your default player, most likely, the Windows
Media player on Windows-based systems and Quicktime
for Macs. You can choose any mp3 compatible helper application
to listen to the mp3 files.
You can download a custom Fender®
players Club "skin". if you have a Windows-based
system. When you choose to download this skin - which is simply
a new graphic faceplate for your player - your system will open
Windows Media Player. You will then be prompted about whether
you want to download the skin and whether you want to activate
the skin. If you reply yes to these prompts, the system will add
the Fender Players Club skin to your library. You should know
that if you opt for this cool skin, it will become your default
skin for all Windows Media applications - you can always change
it though.
